CLINICAL SUPERVISION

Hello there counseling associate! It has taken great dedication to reach this milestone. Congratulations! The following information is intended to support and augment the supervisor as they strive to do the following (a) offer ethical and legal protection of the rights of supervisors, supervisees, and clients; and (b) meet the professional development needs of supervisees while protecting client welfare.​

A clinical supervision is generally one (1) hour in length  per case and take account a patient's symptoms, medication trials, history of treatment, psychosocial history, lived experience, and neurological conditions.  The goal of any case consultation is to improve the client's treatment outcomes by providing information and strategies from a more experienced professional.

    Here are some things that can happen during clinical supervision:
  • Presenting the case: The therapist gives an overview of the client's case, including their symptoms, treatment history, and other relevant information.
  • Ask questions: The therapist asks a clear question about the case and what kind of help they need.
  • Receive guidance: The therapist listens to guidance and takes notes.
  • Synthesize information: After the consultation, the therapist uses the information to help their client.​
  • Supervision fee will be $90.00 per supervisor meeting
  • Supervision in group format will be $40.00 per supervision meeting​

  1.  The following training should be completed no later than 30 days after the initiating of contract. Supervisor an assist with locating resources for trainings:
    1. HIPPA
    2. Online Distance Learning
    3. Multicultural Diversity
    4. Human Trafficking
